Dear Reader,
Welcome!
Toddlers are messy, dramatic, unpredictable, and hard.
But they’re also so much fun. So sweet. And so full of amazing experiences.
The toddler years are some of my favorite years—even through the tough times. And in the grand scheme of things, it’s such a short phase of life.
I want to embrace it. And since you’re here, I bet you do too!
So, a little about me:
Childcare has practically been my whole life. I started babysitting for family friends and church families at the age of 12 and continued well into my 20s. In college, I worked at a preschool and a before- and after-school care center for elementary-aged kids. While there, I started as a preschool aide, became the after-school care coordinator, and eventually worked as a kindergarten enrichment teacher—before finally becoming a private nanny, where I’ve been settled for nearly 10 years.
I am not an expert. I don’t claim to be one, and I won’t pretend to be.
I’ve only ever had one true goal in life: to be somebody’s mom. And now I am—to the sweetest little boy! Watching him grow has been bittersweet, but it’s everything I’ve ever wanted. Now that he’s freshly into toddlerhood, he’s starting to truly blossom into his own little self, and his personality is really beginning to shine. He is curious, determined, focused, and loves to play and learn.
Which brings us to this page.
I want to use what I’ve learned over the years to help him grow, while also exploring new things together. And I hope to inspire others along the way.
This content will primarily be geared toward stay-at-home moms and full-time caregivers, as that’s where I’m at in life right now—and that’s the voice I have to share. However, this page is for everyone: first-time parents, veteran parents, stay-at-home parents, working parents, caregivers, teachers, and grandparents alike. I hope you all find something here that helps you grow and bond with the kids in your life.
I’ll share activities we do, recipes we try, and random advice that has helped make life easier—both as a parent and as a childcare provider.
If you’ve made it this far, thank you! I appreciate it so much, and I hope you continue reading and join me on this journey. Please be patient, there will be growing pains as I figure this all out. I’m learning as I go and essentially teaching myself.
Love,
Breann
